  • Help the students make an intellectual connection to their work and see how it applies to the outside world
For the TUTORS, we:
  • Reinforce subject area skills
  • Teach transferable tutoring skills including communication, questioning strategies, problem solving, and self-confidence
  • Provide an opportunity to become academic role models
  • Provide leadership opportunities
  • Provide volunteer and service learning opportunities
For the FACULTY, we:
  • Support their methodology
  • Provide feedback about their students who visit the LRC
  • Support their ‘learning across the curriculum’ efforts
For the HOLY CROSS COMMUNITY, we:
  • Help create an academic culture where learning and intellectual inquiry are valued and encouraged
  • Focus ‘learning across the curriculum’
  • Support the college goal of a collaborative learning community
  • Provide opportunities for residents of Holy Cross Village to interact with students
