Practice Problems The Lecture notes are available in The Math Center for Math 97, 98,
and 101 classes. These notes provide examples
and help students absorb the material presented in the textbook. The notes often are formatted in the
following way: ·How does this topic relate to your prior knowledge?
·What is (are) the main
concept(s) of this section? ·"How can they make this harder?" ideas are presented. ·Sometimes homework hints are included. Overheads used by some instructors during lecture are stored in a notebooks for students to use. Study cards or other review materials are provided to help students
review for tests at the end of each chapter in Math 99 and 101. Some Discrete materials are also available. Before
taking your algebra placement tests, you may wish to review. You may access review materials using the
