Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers):

1. Do I have to pay for tutoring at The Learning Resource Center?

No, all our services are free to current HCC students.

2. Where is the Learning Resource Center located?

The LRC is located off the Vincent Lobby (by the vending machines). The Math Center

is located in room V-110b and the Writing Center is in room V-110a.

3. When is The Math Center open?

Current hours are posted by the door as well as in this website under Current Schedule.

4. Can I access my math syllabus from this site?

Yes, simply click on Math Faculty, choose your professor's name, and your course name.

5. How can I access the math videotapes?

You can access them by clicking first on videotapes and then choosing your course name.

6. How can I access math software which corresponds to the course I'm taking?

Check with Mrs. Lotsbaich or Mrs. Marquez for software availability for your course.

7. I really have a problem with math anxiety and test taking. Any suggestions?

Clicking on Math Links will connect you to some websites that have information which may

be of help to you.

8. I need help on a paper I'm writing. Can you help?

No, not at the Math Center. For that, you need to go next door to The Writing Center

(V110a).

9. My teacher put review material on the website. How do I access that?

Just click on Practice Problems and look for your teacher's name.

10. How do I find information about placement testing?

Practice problems are available now in the LRC and on this site under Math Placement
