RELATIONSHIP

If discussing a relationship use the following possible questions.

    1.  Your text contained shakespeare's quote There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so.
         Apply this idea to the communications in your relationship.  Give specific examples and use
        detail.

    2.  What are the guidelines suggested in your text for expressing feelings?
         a.  Describe how you can apply these guidelines to your relationship.
         b. Give specific examples.

    3.  Identify at least three irrational fallacies in the text you most commonly accept.  Explain the
         fallacy and explain the potential harm each may or have caused in your relationship.

    4.  When emotions begin to be shared, a relationship begins to deepen.
          a.  How does this come about?
          b.  Give two examples from your relationship experience that support this statement?
 

CULTURE

    1.  Explain the patterns of handling emotions of this particular culture.

    2.  Is there a difference between how a collective society expresses negative emotions in
         contract to an individualistic society?  Discuss.

    3.  Are emotions expressed the same way, to the same degree, around the world?  Discuss.
