____  My introduction gains attention and interest, establishes my credibility, and previews
            the main points of my message.

____  My first main point is the starting point for the verbal journey of my speech.

____  My speech moves from place to place in an orderly fashion.

____  My speech builds interest as it moves from location to location.

____  I have adequate supporting material for each main point in my speech.

____  I have positioned my subpoints under the main points to which they are related.

____  My conclusion contains a summary that recaps my message and remarks that reflect
            on the meaning and significance of the speech.

____  I have provided transitions where they are needed to make my speech flow smoothly.

____  I have compiled a list of works consulted in the preparation of my speech and added them to
           the end of the formal outline.
